40 years of outstanding services to the community

May 1st 2011, Cri-Help Inc., celebrated 40 years of service. Although it’s been a road filled with obstacles of disbelieve and doubt; Cri-Help has maintain its doors open victoriously with the help of the few who believed.

On May 1st 1971 we opened our doors in two run down houses in Sun Valley CA. It wasn’t until December of 1972, that we were able to lease and move into the present location in North Hollywood, which gave us 64 beds for men and women. In 1975 we purchased the property with revenue from our first barbecue and the generosity of a strong supporter, actor Dennis Weaver. The only assets we had when we started were a desire to help addicts.

We now own and operate two facilities, Pfleger Center in North Hollywood and Socorro in Los Angeles. Between the two facilities we are now able to provide 198 residential beds and an additional 15 beds in our Detox. In addition we are able to accommodate approximately 100 men and women on an outpatient basis as well as 40 sober living beds between both facilities.

40 years is a lifetime, a lifetime in which we have seen thousands of suffering and lost addicts come through our doors, and seen them leave with a new sense of hope, direction and freedom.

We want to thank all those who have made this possible over the years, and we hope to continue to receive your support so that our doors may stay open for another 40 year and beyond.

Thank you on behalf of all the Staff, the Client whose lives have changed and the families who have found lost loved ones.
